Everything about Flightblog – from your first boarding pass to iCloud sync.
Three ways:
- Scan a boarding pass: Tap the scanner button and hold your boarding pass (paper or Wallet) in front of the camera – date, route and flight number are read automatically.
- Apple Wallet: Tap the boarding pass in Wallet → Share → Flightblog.
- Manually: Tap
+in the Timeline tab.
Flightblog reads the IATA BCBP standard – QR and Aztec codes on paper and digital passes. Supported airlines include Lufthansa, Swiss, KLM, Air France, British Airways, Ryanair, easyJet, Turkish Airlines and many more.
Proprietary barcodes from some low-cost carriers may not be readable – add those manually.
Yes. Upcoming flights appear at the top of the Timeline with relative labels (“Next week” etc.). Statistics and Year in Review intentionally exclude future flights.
Yes, via CSV file. Export your data from the other app, then open the file via Share in Flightblog. The format is documented under Settings → Data → Import / Export.
Wallet app → boarding pass → Share → Flightblog. You can also open a .pkpass file directly from the Files app.
Settings → Data → Export. You’ll get a CSV file to save via AirDrop, email or the Files app.
Flightblog uses SwiftData with CloudKit – the same framework as Notes and Reminders. Your data syncs automatically and encrypted via your personal iCloud account to all devices with the same Apple ID (iPhone, iPad, Mac) – no setup required.
No. Your data lives only on your device and in your personal iCloud. No tracking, no ads, no third-party servers.
- Same Apple ID on both devices?
- Enough iCloud storage (Settings → [Name] → iCloud)?
- Internet connection available?
- Try closing and reopening the app.
The first sync after a fresh install may take a few minutes.
Flightblog is free with no time limit – up to 25 flights. The full version (one-time purchase, no subscription) unlocks unlimited flights. Find the price in the app under Settings → Full Version.
Settings → Full Version → Restore Purchase. You must be signed in with the same Apple ID as the original purchase.
Yes. The one-time purchase covers all devices with the same Apple ID – iPhone, iPad and Mac, no extra cost.
The globe shows all your flights as arcs on a realistic Earth. Rotate with one finger, zoom with two, filter by year at the top. The Play button animates flights chronologically – only for the selected year.
Per year: flights, total distance, Earth laps, flight time, longest flight, new countries, top airline, top aircraft, top airport, top route and busiest month.
Yes. When adding or editing a flight, tap the magnifying glass icon next to From/To – search by city, airport name or IATA code.

No. The full airport database works offline. Only iCloud sync requires a connection.
Local data is removed. iCloud data stays intact and restores on reinstall. To delete permanently: iCloud Settings → Manage Storage → Flightblog.
