2. What data is stored?

Flightblog processes only data that you enter yourself or generate by scanning a boarding pass:

• Flight data (date, departure and destination airport, flight number)
• Airline and aircraft type
• Personal notes for individual flights

This data is stored exclusively on your iPhone (SwiftData) and – if you have iCloud Sync enabled – in your personal, encrypted iCloud container.

3. iCloud Synchronisation

If you have iCloud Drive enabled in your iPhone settings, your flight data is automatically synced with your Apple account. This sync runs exclusively via Apple's servers and is subject to Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/privacy). We have no access to this data.

4. No data collection by us

Flightblog does not collect, transmit or store any data on our own servers. There is:

• No tracking, no analytics tools
• No advertising IDs or user profiles
• No sharing with third parties
• No cookies (in the app)

5. External data sources (read-only)

On first launch, the app optionally downloads the public OpenFlights database (airports.dat) from GitHub to supplement airport data. No personal data is transmitted – only a standard HTTP request to a public GitHub server.

6. Camera access

The app requires access to your camera to scan boarding passes. This access only occurs at your explicit request. Camera images are not stored or transmitted.

7. This website (flightblog.eu)

This website is hosted on a web server. When accessed, the server technically logs:

• IP address (anonymised after 24h)
• Date and time of access
• Page accessed, HTTP status code
• Browser type (User Agent)

This data is used solely for technical error analysis and is not linked to other data. Google Analytics or similar tracking tools are not used on this website.

8. Your rights

Since we do not store personal data about you, most GDPR information rights are not applicable in practice. You can delete your flight data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete all flights), which will also remove it from your iCloud.

9. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed. The current version is available at this URL. The date of the last modification is stated above.
